Adam George Taylor is the contemporary drawing practice of Adam Taylor, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

Graduating in Illustration in 2007, Taylor spent more than fifteen years working as a graphic designer across a variety of creative and industrial settings. Time spent designing within production and factory environments developed his fascination in the structures, processes and material culture of everyday working life—an influence that inspires many of the artworks.

Drawing begins with direct observation. Site sketches, photography and field notes provide the foundation for work that is developed in the studio. Rather than documenting places as they appear, the practice examines the relationships, tensions and quiet narratives that emerge through sustained looking, arranging observed fragments into considered compositions that invite closer attention.

Alongside the studio practice, Taylor works as a professional picture framer, producing museum-quality framing for artists and private collectors. This practical understanding of presentation reflects an ongoing commitment to the craftsmanship and long-term preservation of works on paper. Bespoke framing services are available for artworks beyond those produced by the studio.

The artist has previously been featured by BBC The Social as an emerging artist and was recently longlisted for an international contemporary art award. Original drawings and archival prints are available on request.
